When I am making revisions to the persuasive essay, I ensure that I take a very systematic and step wise approach to the whole process. The procedure starts from the reconsideration of the certain parts of the introduction section. I focus on the first line of the text to make sure it hooks the reader right from the start. The hook should be strong, but I usually revise it severally because the final hook may change the entire flow of the article. I then revisit my thesis statement so as to check whether it summarizes the main argument and also coordinates with the ideas that have been developed in the essay.
Proceeding to the body of the essay, I consider the essay parts most persuasive, which are generally the sections in which I present the arguments most backed up by evidence and logic. In revision, it is important to strengthen these arguments by providing additional support of facts and figures or quoting other sources if possible. I also pay attention to potential gaps as to what may not be well developed or explained. These sections are either extended where such information is available or generalized in order to reduce the level of details. Another aspect that I pay particular attention to is the organization of transitions between the paragraphs because they play an important role in the flow of the essay.
One of the most important strategies that I employ in my revisions is responding to counterarguments. I assess how well I have respected other opinions and their arguments by responding to them with reason and facts. This step is important because it ensures that one has covered all round knowledge and makes the essay
