IND 299 Milestone Three Guidelines and Rubric
Overview: In Milestone Two, you selected a concentration for your academic plan of study. Your chosen concentration reflects the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to achieving your specific goal. In Milestone Three, you will identify the three domains that will complement your concentration and give you the breadth of capability necessary to realize your specific goal.
Prompt: Identify the three domains for your academic plan of study. Then, for each domain, list three courses that will help you build the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to accomplish your specific goal. Continue working with your academic advisor, if necessary, to select the courses that will be included in your academic plan of study.
Write a short paper that addresses the following critical elements:
· Strengths
- Describe your current areas of strength (refer to the work you completed in the Module One journal activity), explaining how prior academic learning or work/life experience helped you gain these strengths.
- Describe how these strengths will help you achieve your specific goal and be successful in completing your academic plan of study (refer to the work you completed on the SMART Goal and Strategy Worksheet).
· Weaknesses
- Identify which of the KSA areas you included in Milestone Two are weaknesses for In other words, which KSAs will you need to gain to achieve your specific goal?
· Domains
- Identify three main categories that could be used to logically group your strengths and Each category is a domain.
